little mix lip balm review
little mix collection makeup range
Following the success of the last Little Mix and Collection makeup range they are launching some exciting new products this summer.

Each band member has created her own lip balm scented with their favourite smells and shades. Leigh-Anne's is Mint, Jade's is Raspberry, Jesy's is Vanilla and Perrie's is unscented as she has no sense of smell! I haven't swatched the balms as they don't have any colour pay-off. However, Perrie's white lip balm does offer some subtle shimmer which is nice for layering over lipstick. I'm such a lip balm hoarder, I have at least 3 swimming about in the depths of my handbag. My favourite out of the four has to be Jade's simply because I love the raspberry scent! They all provide optimum hydration to dry lips and the lipstick style packaging makes these effortless to apply. Plus, I love seeing the horror in peoples faces when they think I'm about to apply bright green lipstick then watching their eyebrows screw up in confusion when no colour transfers(easily pleased). I'm really impressed with these, especially as they're so affordable.

Little Mix are also launching a neutral eyeshadow palette which I've reviewed and swatched here

Collection by Little Mix Lip Balm* .199 each
Collection by Little Mix All About The Eyes palette* 3.19 available in Superdrug from 30th July

So now I look like the 5th member of Little Mix all I need now is a boyfriend from 1D, hhhmm which one to go for...

festival makeup tips
festival makeup products

Festival beauty, for me, is all about ease. When my tent is my dressing table and my phone is my mirror I need products that are quick, easy and effortless to apply. I'm off to a couple of festivals this year and I'm aimming for that fresh faced, girlfriend-with-an-all-access-vip-wristband-look rather than an over-tired, hungover camper.

DO
Longevity
You're going to be too busy having fun to re-touch your make up. Opt for long lasting products so you can stop worrying about whether your makeup is still in place and start worrying about the queue for the toilets. A primer can prevent your skin from shine and help keep your base in place. Double up with a primer that contains SPF like the KiKo City Filter Sunscreen Primer*. If you're a liner kinda girl I highly recommend the Seventeen Semi-permanent Tattoo Me Liquid Liner.
Multi-purpose must-haves
Beauty products with more than one use are perfect for festivals as it means you'll have less stuff to carry around. A Lip & Cheek Tint is your best friend, dab it on your lips, cheeks and anywhere else you desire a subtle flush of colour. The MeMeMe Lip & Cheek Tint in Coral Blossom* is the newest addition to their best selling tints.
Hydrate Those lips
There is nothing worse than being stuck in a field for 3 days without lip balm. Whether it's sunny or raining don't forget to pack your favourite balm to avoid licking your lips all weekend. Hell pack two, things easily get lost in a two man tent.

DON'T
Highend
Don't pack your favourite Mac lipstick. I know it's going to get Alex Turner to notice you but when you lose it that's 15.50 gone forever. Pick up some lipsticks from MUA at Superdrug, that way if they go missing - YOLO.
Gloss
Ever worn lip gloss whilst dancing to your favourite band? The hair in face & mouth combo isn't a good look, leave the gloss at home.
SPF
Don't forget the SPF. Heaven forbid you forget to pack sun cream, we all know how that one ends. Go for a primer/tinted moisteriser/bb cream which already contains SPF so you don't have to worry about protecting your skin.

So now you're looking fresh faced in an instant you can happily venture out into the floral-headdressed and cider-drinking masses. What are you beauty tips for festivals?

real technique makeup brush uses

I'm a Real Techniques convert. After reading so many rave reviews online I just had to get my hands on some. I bought mine from Boots but I've seen them in Tk Maxx and even Asda! I've been using the brushes for about 8 months now and I wanted to share with you what I use them for. They all have specific purposes but I've completely ignored what they were designed for and use them these ways...

Expert Face Brush
Created for blending liquid or cream foundation - which it's great for! I also find it handy for cream blusher as the firm bristles help to blend. The small size makes this a good brush for contouring too.
Pointed Foundation Brush
I don't really use flat brushes for foundation any more. I do save this for mousse foundations such as Rimmel Stay Matte however what I really love this for is solid concealer like Seventeen Phoawr Paint. You can really build up coverage with this brush. Perfect for dark circle gals like me.
Buffing Brush
This makes a lovely foundation brush, it's so easy to use and foundation looks so much better. The brush size is also nice for applying powder blusher. I don't often use powder but it's also perfect for that too.
Detailer Brush
Made to use with lipstick, I really love this for concealing small blemishes. When I've got a bit of time to spend doing my make up I get all Lisa Eldridge on my face and do some pin-point concealing.
Contour Brush
I never use this for contouring as I LOVE using this to blend liquid concealer. It allows to get full coverage and helps stop concealer creasing.

How do you use you RT brushes? Do you use them what they were designed for?

 UK beauty blog

I tend to stay in my comfort zone when it come to all things beauty related. The other week I swapped my black eyeliner for navy blue which was pretty wild and crazy for me. You know when that's the most exciting thing you did that week you really need to get out more. So I thought it was time to break this beauty bubble I'm in. I'm going to give these scary beauty  buys a go. Who knows, I might end up enjoying it! I was also inspired by the lovely Zoe's post about her experience of trying make up items out of her comfort zone. Go give it a read here.

Urban Decay Electric Palette (review + swatches here)
Colourful eye shadow and I just don't really get along. I like to stick to my neutrals; I've never given bright eyes a chance. There is no denying this palette is beautiful. Seriously I can't stop looking at it. At first I thought I could save this for a music festival (Bestival in September YES!) or fancy dress but life is too short not to wear 5 different eye shadow shades to Tesco. Plus there are loads of really cool tutorials on YouTube for this palette!
Maybelline Brown Lipstick
Brown lipstick seems to be on trend right now. It's a staple with the likes of Kylie Jenner and Little Mix but it reminds me of that whole Spice Girls era of the 90's. Maybelline are really pushing the nude look right now. The Colour Sensationial Nudes is a 5 piece collection of creamy nudes suitable for all skin tones. I have the shade 728 Honey Beige which is a true brown shade, the kind of colour J Lo wore when she was still Jenny from the block. I'm determined to make this work. The lipstick formula is buttery and gives opaque coverage with just one swipe. Any tips for rocking a modern nude lip?
Percy And Reed Wonder Balm
We have primers for our face, even our eyelids so why not have a primer for your hair? This gel/cream is suppose to be used by applying to towl dried hair from root to tips. It claims to prep hair for styling and give it definition. However, all the looks I've seen created with this look really wet and almost greasy. I'm really unsure about trying this, I just don't think we are going to get on!
Maybelline Baby Skin Primer
Silicone based primers make me shudder. Just the thought of applying them on my face makes me feel dirty. It just feels like it's blocking my pores and doing nothing good for my skin. I did spot Anna from Vivianna Does Make Up mention her love for this so maybe I should give this a go. Anyone tried this before?

What beauty products are you too scared to use?

Hayfever sucks. I pretty much get it all year round but it's especially bad in the summer months. So for all you fellow hayfever sufferers out there I have some really helpful make up tips to get you through all the sneezing.

1. Start off by preparing yourself for that pesky pollen. I use eye drops in the morning to stop them getting itchy and irritated. You can buy eye drops specially for hayfever such as the Opticrom Hayfever Eye Drops
2. Prep the skin with a primer like the Revlon Photo Ready Primer. Layer on top the Revlon ColourStay Foundation for a long lasting base that won't budge all day. Make sure when applying foundation that you don't go right up to the lash line as will avoid irritating the eyes further.
3. For concealer, opt for a yellow based shade as it will help counteract any redness around the eyes and nose. I like the Bourjois Healthy Mix concealer as it doesn't look cakey on.
4. Next apply a creamy blusher. This is a better option over powder blush if you get watery eyes. Powder based formulas tend not to stay put as well if eyes are running. This bright pink one from KIKO is gorgeous and gives the skin a healthy flush.
5. If you're an eye liner wearer the newest addition to my make up collection is A-mazing! The Seventeen Tattoo Me liquid liner is a semi-permanent which really does not budge. Great if you have itchy eyes as you don't have to worry about rubbing them.
6. It's also important to go for a waterproof mascara like the Collection Does it All Waterproof mascara. Just apply it to the top lashes as it can irritate the eyes if you put it on the bottom lashes.
7. Finish with a lip product of your choice. I've gone for the Tanya Burr lip gloss in 'Let's Travel The World' which is a coral-red, perfect for summer!

There you have it - a  simple, waterproof make up look with a few tips for hayfever sufferers. Here is a really useful video with make up artist Aimee Adams on how to achieve a waterproof summer make up look.

COLLECTION is a Highstreet makeup brand I've been a fan of for years. Their cult Lasting Perfection Concealer will alway be a repurchase for me and I'm currently loving their Creme Puff lip products.

This summer sees the launch of their new Mardi Gras collection. The range is inspired by the spirit of Rio and the tropics of the Amazon. As you can see by the vibrant colours, the range is very tropical themed which ties in nicely with the World Cup and is bang on trend this summer. The collection consits of six pieces set to bring a bit of carnival spirit to your summer.

The three nail polish shades include White Out, Canary Yellow and Green with Envy. Each colour is perfect for summer and all look great with a tan. The white shade can be a bit streaky with one coat but looks great with 2-3 coats. The yellow is a little darker then I'm used to and I don't usually wear green varnish but these shades are really wearable.

Lip balms aren't usually a product you accosiate with COLLECTION. These scented lip balms are super hydrating and come in three different flavours including strawberry, orange and green apple. For just 1.99 these are a bargain. The fun and colourful packaging makes these easier to find in my handbag too!

The Mardi Gras range* from Collection is available from June in Superdrug stores and online. Everything featured above is 1.99.

Beautiful Movements are a natural cosmetics brand co-founded by ex-Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt.  The products are free from parabens, animal products, synthetic dyes & fragrances, neither are they tested on animals. As well as being cruelty-free, the brand is also good for your skin. The products are lightweight and allows skin to breathe without clogging pores.  The Beautiful Movements range includes mineral foundation, eyeshadow, lipgloss, bronzer and brushes.  I've been testing a few products from the range, here's how i got on...

Red Rock Mineral Eyeshadow 7.00
The eyeshadow range is divided into four categories: Starry Eyed Glamour, Earthy Princess, Story Book and Burning Spirit. They are 100% natural and vegan. The shadows are gorgeously high pigmented. 'Red Rock is a beautiful golden, shimmery copper shade which looks great blended over the entire eyelid. This colour will really suit those with blue or green eyes. The formula is super soft making it easy to blend.

Clay Mineral Eyeshadow 7.00 2g
Another eyeshadow from the Beautiful Movements 'Burning Spirit' Collection. 'Clay' is a matte, creamy yellow shade which looks lovely and natural for everyday. The 9ml sifter jar which contains the loose pigments can be a little messy to use at first but after a few goes i've gotten use to it! For a more intense eyeshadow you can mix this with the mixing medium mentioned below.

Mixing Medium Prime & Create 20.00
A multi-purpose product - you can use this either as a primer or mix it with a mineral powder. Adding it with mineral concealer will create a matt finish with maximum coverage. Powder blushers and bronzers can easily be transformed into cream tints for cheeks, eyes or even lips. I've been using this with mineral eyeshadow to make liquid liners and create an intense eyeshadow finish. The silky, clear gel contains aloe vera which is kind to skin and has healing properties. It melts into skin smoothly and you only need to use a small amount of this product, so the 20g pot will last ages!

This range would be perfect if you use only cruelty-free, natural cosmetics or if it's something you want to get into! Beautiful Movements is available from Holland & Barrett here or via the Beautiful Movements website here

Stuck for where to store your nail polish? So was I. Make up/nail varnish/beauty product storage is my little obsession. I love browsing through Pinterest at how others store their cosmetics & also homeware posts are my favourite to read at the minute. I've been a bit carried away with buying nail polish lately, someone stop me! I needed a new place to store my nail polishes neatly and I found this old cabinet in our house. I knew this would make a perfect nail polish wardrobe but it didn't look very pretty so i had a search through the garden shed for some bits. Here's a tutorial on how to create your own nail polish display!
1. Find yourself an old cabinet, you can pick one up from a charity shop, car boot or maybe you have an old one at home.
2. You will need; Gloss paint. Go for gloss finish over matte as this wont flake off, i went for white but you can choose any colour you fancy. White spirit to clean your brush with. Lastly an old rag to dust the cabinet with.
3. If you can separete the cabinet peices, this will make it easier to paint. Lay it on some newspaper before painting.
4. Use a smaller brush when painting near glass to make it easier. Gloss take a few hours to dry so put the kettle on and catch up with your favourite blogs!
5. To decorate the background i ripped up a Cath Kidson catalogue and glued it to create a patterned college.
Ta-da! This would look really nice with lipsticks in too. Let me know if you decide to give it a go, would love to know how you store your beauty bits!

So we are well into the festival season with Glastonbury coming up this weekend. I was a the Isle of Wight festival a couple of weekends ago (the Killers/Bastille/Jake Bugg were my favs!) and I had an idea for a blog post whilst roughing it..
For any beauty lover, the thought of spending the weekend in a muddy field without our favourite beauty products is a little daunting. Whilst crouching outside my tent at 7.00am getting my friend to splash water on my face to help me wash it I thought about putting together a capsule list of products that will help other beauty junkies feel & look as good as possible whilst roughing it. These products definitely helped me feel more confident and got me though the festival. Here's my best of fest beauty picks.
Floral Crown- handmade|yellow & blue box t-shirt* Lasula Boutique
Pur Minerals 3 in 1 Universal Pencil in Cocoa Topaz 14.00*LINK
I like the idea of a multi-purpose pencil. Pur say you can use this on your eyes, lips and brows. I personally wouldn't use this colour on my lips but this is a brilliant eyeliner and stays put ALL day without smudging and you don't need to sharpen it.
LUSH No Drought Dry Shampoo 6.50 for 115g LINK
Greasy roots aren't a good look so dry shampoo is a festival must have. I've been using this one from LUSH. It has a refreshing grapefruit and lime scent to it and the powder has oil absorbing properties. I just puff it into my hand and work through my hair. It is a little messier than normal spray dry shampoo's but don't let that put you off it!
No7 Stay Perfect mascara 12.95 LINK
This is the newest mascara from No7, I thought it would be perfect for festi-season as it stays put all day and it really is waterproof. Unlike other mascara's you can only remove this with warm water! This is my current go-to mascara as hayfever keeps making my eyes water like crazy - cue awkward 'No, I'm not crying I promise' response.
Vichy Idealia BB cream 14.00* LINK
I've tried a few bb creams before such as Garnier & MUA but this one has to be my favourite. Firstly, this has SPF 25 which I love! It claims to be a 6-in-1 products by helping to illuminate, hydrate, smooth wrinkles, refine skin texture, reduce dark spots and contains UVA & UVB protection. I can't coment whether it's anti-aging properties really do work but it does help to hydrate my skin and instantly illuminates it. I wear this on it's own, it give a lovely natural dewy finish.
Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray 20.50 for 125ml LINK
I wanted something to give my hair texture all weekend and the best product for that is surf spray. I've tried a few others from Toni & Guy and Charles Worthington but this has to be my favourite. I love that it doesn't leave my hair feeling stiff or sticky. I use it on my mid-lenghts to give me texture & volume for a bed-head look. This is a pricey product but you can purchase a smaller 50ml bottle for 8.50.
Jurlique Essence of Rose roll-on 16.50* LINK
So after a few days of not showering I don't smell great. This is great to take instead of taking perfume. This is a life saver as you can also use it to roll under your nose before going to the loo - enough said. The dinky 11ml roll-on is prefect for popping in your handbag.
Burts Bees Replenshing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil 3.69 LINK
Lip balm is a must have for me. This one from Burts Bees goes on smoothly and has a light pomegranate scent. I also used it around my nose to stop myself from sneezing as my hayfever was really bad & it worked, so glamourous!
Tangle Teezer 9.99 LINK
I think I've expressed my love for tangle teezer enough on here. Best.beauty.invention.ever.
Soltan Moisturising Mini Spray SPF30 5.49 for 75ml LINK
The sun doesn't normally shine on UK festivals but just incase I bought this little bottle of sunscreen to put in my bag for easy top ups on the go.

Are you off to any festivals this year? I've got the festival bug and want to go to more now! x

Friday, 7 June 2013

Here in the UK it feels like summer is long overdue. I just want to ditch the heavy foundations and jumpers and embrace the sunshine. My usual winter/spring beauty products just won't work as well in the warmer months - make up gets all melting, hair gets oily and skin gets frazzled.
Summer primping poses some serious issues for me; hello sweaty, frizzy, greasy Kia. Luckily, the brains behind my favourite beauty brands have bought out an array of shiny new goodies for us. Here are a few summer beauty picks i wanted to share with you so we can all avoid looking like a hot mess.

Lauren's Way Mini Medium Lotion Kit 19.95 (link)
I was a bit spectical about trying this, but i put my inner beauty snob to one side and tested Lauren Goodger's range. Celebrity collabs can be a bit hit & miss; Alexandra Burke for MUA - hit, Mylenne Klass nail wraps - miss. I was pleasantly surprised using these products. They came in a mini travel kit which is perfect for testing out the products if your a newbie. The colour looks even once applied with a mitt and i even got a few compliments! It doesn't look orange or patchy at all and is a close favourite after my beloved Xen-Tan. I much prefer the body spray to the lotion, and they smell citrusy!
Wella Hair Oil 100ml 10.95 (link)
I do love a good hair oil, this is my current go to one. Firstly, I love the big glass bottle it comes in, i only use 2-3 pumps at a time so this will last ages. This oil contains ingredients such as macadamia seed oil, avocado oil and Vitamin E. All these work together to leave my thick hair looking glossy & helps smooth frizzy ends. This has a really gorgeous sweet scent to it, it's just so luxurious to use!
Bumble & Bumble Surf Foam Wash Shampoo & Conditioner 18.50 & 20.00(link)
I've never tried anything from Bumble before, not even their infamous salt spray! I love getting beachy waves after taking a dip in the sea and the idea of re-creating this at home sounded right up my street! These hair products have a faint ocean scent and lather up nicely when applied. Bumble recommend you let you hair dry naturally in the sun (wind if you're living in the UK) which i normally like to do anyway. I found it did help to enhance my waves and left my hair feeling super soft. I was really worried it would leave my hair feeling dry but it didn't at all. The only downside to these is the hefty price tag.
Especially Escada Elixir EDP 48 50ml (link)
If you like rose scented fragrances you'll love this. This is the latest release from Escada & i've been wearing it for about a month now - it makes the perfect summer evening scent. The rose isn't too strong, it has a delicate pink rose scent with note of vanilla.
KIKO Glow Touch in 04 Pleasant Pink Azalea 5.90 (link)
I use this on my lips and cheeks for a subtle wash of pink. It looks quite scary in the tin but it doesn't apply that bright! This smells A-MAZ-ING, i want to use it all the time! On the cheeks it gives a post work-out healthy glow which is normally really hard to achieve with make up.
SP Sun UV Spray 11.95 (link)
It doesn't happen all that often but when it does it's just as important to protect your hair from the suns rays. This is also perfect for holidays as it's water resistant and doesn't leave hair feeling greasy. SP also do a shampoo & conditioner is this range which i recommend too!
KIKO Essential Bronzer in 201 Sienna Melange 15.90 (link)
What a hunk of a bronzer, it's a hefty 20 grams so will last all summer. The pigmentation on this is brilliant but you have to be quite light handed otherwise you end up with too much on your brush. Like the KIKO glow touch this smells like chocolate/vanilla - SO GOOD!

So that's my summer beauty sorted, anything caught your eye?

The best bit of blogging for me is talking to other bloggers & reading your comments (i read every one!) Thank you to everyone who read or commented on my latest beauty haul post. I few mentioned they wanted to see some product reviews so i'll try my best - here's a review of the Bumble & Bumble surf products are requested by Harriet. Beauty Bird, Alice & Sarah i'm in the process of writing your product reviews!

I take make up on holiday, is that weird? For me i don't even like to pop to Tesco without a bit of concealer so going abroad minus my make up bag - no, just no. I do shrink it down quite a lot and just keep the essentials in there. I don't think there's much need for brow powder, eye shadow or other eye products when you spend most of the time wearing sunglasses. This is why i packed my budget mascara from Natural Collection in Brown (1.99) because i'll only brush on one coat. I made sure to pack my trusty Jemma Kidd Eyelash Curlers for days when i'm mascara free as it helps to make them look longer. To update my eye make up in the evening i took my Collection 2000 Kohl liner in Brown (2.99) to smudge across the upper lash line. I also bought with me my Blink Eyebrow Gel in Cinnamon Spice (15.00) which i can't live without! My eyebrows are quite big so this is a must-have to keep them in place. For my face i ditched the foundation and took Liz Earle's Sheer Skin Tint in Bare 02 (21.00) which is a light tinted moisturiser with a dewy finish and SPF 15. To hide my dark circles i bought along the Collection Illuminating Touch Concealer 03 (4.99) in a darker shade then i would normally wear. I can't stand having dry lips so i always have a lip balm handy. I'm loving this tropical scented Chapstick 1.99(tastes like pina colda!) I took two different lipsticks; a neutral nude colour and a red. I went for MAC Shy Girl (14.00) which is a really wearable peachy pink shade and No7 Precision Lip Liner in Blush (6.75) which i fill-in my lips with for a matt red lip.

As requested i'll post my Dubai holiday photo's up soon! Are you of anywhere nice this year or is there somewhere you'd love to visit? Let me know your holiday beauty picks :) x

L-R Liz Earle eye colour brush, Maybelline Superstay 24 hour lipstick in Pink on Pink, Rimmel Lasting finish Lip Tint, Collection Shimmer Shade Bronzer, No7 Nail Varnish in Temptress, Collection illuminating concealer in 2, Revlon Nail Enamel in Bewitching, MUA Undressed Palette and OPI Rainbow Connection.

Just a pick of a few make up favourites this winter. I do like to change my look as the seasons change, i just had my hair dyed a bit of a warmer blonde & had to buy some chunky jumpers! I'm currently loving dark nails, bronzed eyes and dewy skin.

What are your Winter make up must haves?

Tuesday, 18 September 2012

Hello nice normal people.
As we've started to say bye to summer (did we ever say hello?!) I've been loving seeing what new products are being launched and what's on trend. Also my favourite thing about September is that most shops do double student discount! I've only bought a few things this month but got some pretty good deals!
I don't normally shop in Dorothy Perkins but they were advertising that they did a 15% student discount so I had a little look inside. I spotted these two beauties and had to buy them. They also do student discount on sale items so I paid 8.50 instead of 10. No bad as they retail for 28!
I had a No7 voucher so decided it would be rude not to use it! I wanted a new lipstick so I went with 'Pink Whisper'. No7 do so many lipsticks it took me ages to decide on one. Also, I asked last night on twitter what nail varnish shades you were loving at the minute and lots of people recommended Essie polishes, and in particular 'Bikini So Teeny' which is a lovely light blue. I spotted a similar shade at the No7 counter called 'Minty Fresh'. I picked up some face wipes for my sister, i much prefer using a moonie!) as I didn't really need any of there skincare products; but buying three items meant me getting the nail varnish for free as all No7 is on 3 for 2 at the minute, happy days!

What have you been buying lately?

Tuesday, 11 September 2012

Yep another 'How much is your face worth' tag - I've seen a few of these lately! I have never done a tag on here before but it's been really interesting to see how much people are willing to spend on make up. I've seen some crazy prices from 300 to under 50. Hoping all mine comes to under 100!

MAC Pro Longwear - 24.00
GOSH concealer - 4.99
MAC Select moisturecover - 14.50
MUA Undressed Palette - 4
Benefit They're Real* - 18.50
MUA Lip Boom in Doin good* - 4
Collection Shimmer Shade in Blushalious & Way-To-Glow - 3.99 each

TOTAL - 77.97

Phew. I can cope with that amount. I spend the most on my foundation because I think it's important to get the base right. My mascara is VERY expensive but I love it and probably will purchase it when it dries out. I don't wear lipstick everyday, sometimes I'll just use a lip balm. If I don't want a full face on I'll pop on some mascara & a bit of concealer. I use two concealers because my under-eye dark circles are quite bad! The Undressed Palette is brilliant, the shades are so pretty & neutral - in the photo above I'm just wearing the lightest shade all over my lid. I've missed out highlighter as I only wear it once or twice a week; but my go to one is Benefit Sunbeam. Just lately, I've had the urge to but loads of new make up! Maybe because of the new season and new make up trends? I haven't bought anything yet but let me know what you've been loving lately ;)

Would love to know how much your face is worth?!

Sunday, 29 July 2012

This week Lush have launched a new make up range called Emotional Brilliance! The range is designed around providing shades that match up with the wearer's emotions. The line has a collection of vegan lip colours, eye shadows and eye liners in an array of vibrant colours. Lush provided me with a few samples which I've been testing out for a couple of weeks so I can share my thoughts with you.
First up are the Liquid Lipsticks. The quirky packaging really fits in the the aesthetics of the brand. On first impressions I though it would be a pipette type applicator but it's actually a doe foot applicator which works really well the the product consistency. The glass bottles the lipstick comes in is 100% recyclable and not tested on animals. I found the pigmentation of these to be excellent. The colour went on nicely as they have a smooth creamy texture which left my lips feeling  moisturised. The staying power of these are amazing, almost like a stain! Below are some photographs and swatches of the product.
Another item from the collection is their liquid eye liners. I have the shade 'Healthy' which is a bright green. I do like this but because the wand is so short it does make it difficult to apply. The liner dries fairly quickly and the consistency makes it easy to get a neat line. The staying power on this is also amazing - great for oily eyelids!

So, what do you think of the new make up range from Lush? About time they launched a make up line I say!The colour range is joined with a mascara, a translucent powder and two skin tints. Emotional Brilliance launched worldwide on July 21st and prices start from 14.50.
