rimmel makeup haul
You know when you go into Boots for blister plasters and come out with everything but blister plasters? Yeah, that happened.#noregrets

Scandaleyes Waterproof Gel Liner in Emerald
I've never tried a gel liner before so I thought why not jump in at the deep end and go for a green one. This one claims to be Smudge proof and have up to 24 hours wear. This also is available in black & brown. Let me know if you'd like to see a review on this.

Scandaleyes Shadow Stick in Dark Chocolate Matte
A chunky chocolate brown eye liner. I swatched this instore and was impressed with it's ultra-soft formula, and great colour pay off. However, apparently these are hard to sharpen? We will see!

Scandaleyes Shadow Paint in Golden Bronze
This gorgeous, shimmery gold shade is beautiful, I can't stop staring at it! At first this is very wet when applied but dries quickly. The lipgloss style brush makes this easy to use, just one swipe creates an intense colour.  I blend in with an eyeshadow brush and it doesn't budge or crease all day. This also makes a great base for eyeshadow.

Finish Touch Super Wear Top Coat
Not a very exciting purchase but my top coat always seems to go discoloured quickly. I've not tried this one before but it claims to have UV protector which locks in colour to prolong intensity and shine.

What beauty bits have you picked up lately? Not that I need any encouragement...
Let me know if you'd like to see a review of any of the products mentioned above.

left to right
Real Techniques Starter Kit
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
Seventeen Phwoar Paint Undereye Concealer (Fair)
No7 Precision Lip Liner (Blush)
Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids Lipstick (shocking coral 910)

I bought some beauty bits from Boots last month and now i'm going to tell you what i think of this stuff.

Real Techniques Starter Kit 21.99
I did it, i popped my RT cherry. The starter kit contains five 'base' brushes. My favourite part of doing my make up is getting the base right so this set was ideal for me. I'd heard so many bloggers rave about the buffing brush, can't wait to give these a go. Do let me know what you use your RT brushes for if you have this set!
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush 9.99
Ok, so i have used this one and i like it! The bristles are super soft, i like that you can stand it up and the design looks professional. I probably wont be reveiwing my new make up brushes as there are 8493820+ great reviews already out there.
Seventeen Phwoar Paint Under eye Concealer (Fair) 5.99
I'm always on the hunt for a good under eye concealer and this one from Seventeen looked quite unique. You don't see many pressed concealers on the highstreet but some bloggers have compared this to Benefit's Erase Paste. I've used it a couple of times now and it's good at concealing dark circles but i still like to layer an illuminating concealer on top. I'll have some swatches of this and more highstreet concealers in an upcoming post.
No7 Precision Lip Liner (Blush) 6.75
This was a re-purchase for me as i lost my last one on a night out! The No7 lip liners have a creamy formula which allows for easy, smooth application. I love this subtle red shade and i use the shade 'nude' if i'm wearing heavy eye make up.
Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick (shocking coral 910) 7.19
I'm a huge fan of the Maybelline 24 hours SuperStay Lipsticks but this is my first Color Sensational purchase. 'Shocking Coral' is a bright pink with a hint of coral, sort of a muted neon pink. This has a slight glossy finish but dries to a matte after an hour. It's definitely one for those brave bright lipstick wearers!

If you would like a review of any of the products mentioned above, please let me know :) What have you been buying this month?

Popped into Primark a couple of weeks ago for a few items. I wanted a small handbag just for everyday use as all my others are quite big. This titch brown satchel,4.00, is perfect size for my phone, purse & a couple of lipsticks! The flamingo shirt ,7.00, was from the men's section; sometimes I prefer the mens tops to the womens! I went for XS and it fits me fine. Black socks, not very exciting but only 2.00 for 7 pairs! I needed some cheap sunglasses because I always end up losing/breaking them. These clear round ones were only 1, I'm going to customize them - post coming up soon. These high neck crop tops,2.50, remind me of something the Spice Girls would've worn(i was baby spice!) I've seen a few #fbloggers wearing these tops & they look really nice so I picked up a grey one to try out the trend.

Just a little haul, have you bought any bargains from Primark lately?

-picture heavy- If you've been following this blog for a while or know me in real life, you'll know just how much a love a good bargain. Mum calls me cheap; i call it being thrifty. I love shopping in the summer sales, even if it is for jumpers! Here are a few bits i've picked up this month...
Love Label @very jumper 15.00 sale
I'm such a jumper kinda girl and i love anything with a contrast of materials. The jumper sleeves are made out of a thin chiffon material and just adds something a bit different.
Love Label @ Very white jumper 25
I wanted a white jumper for the summer and the short sleeves makes this perfect. I think Love Label is my new favourite brand!
Oversized short sleeved shirts - Free!
I've had my eye on some square shirts from Topshop for a while now but 29 a pop? No thank you Sir Phillip! So i asked my grandad if he had any shirts he didn't want & he gave me some, bless! I'm going to turn some of the shirts into crop tops & other i'll be wearing as shirt dresses. Moral of the story - ask your grandparents for some 'vintage' hand me downs.
Black LBD Tk Maxx 8.00 sale
Fringed shorts Tk Maxx 10.00 sale
As soon as i laid my eyes on these bad boys i knew they would be perfect for Reading. I don't know if i could brave these at home but i'll be wearing them all festival season.
Grey Skater dress Very 8.00 sale
This is a lovely dress for just slipping on when it's hot outside and you want something loose and comfy to wear. WHAT am i doing in that photo?!
Topshop Moto Jamie Ankle Grazer Jeans 13.50 sale
First dip into the world of Topshop jeans & i love them! The original 40 price tag has been putting me off but if i see any more in the sale i'll be getting them!

Have you found any good bargains lately?

If there's a time to brave new trends, it's on holiday. When I saw these floral trousers in H&M i was worried they'd be too in your face but then I saw they were 50% off and I was swayed. They had a few other patterns and they fit really well. 7.49 H&M.
On holiday I'm going to a water park so i need something that's going to keep everything in! Asda have some really nice swimwear pieces this summer. I saw some bikini's for 2.50 which looked nice. I opted for this bandeau floral print swimming costume with a control stomach panel. 12.00 ASDA.
After my little trip to Ibiza i've got heat rash on my face which is a pain in the bum. After doing some online research i read aloe vera gel is suppose to help & it has been a life saver. 2.66 Superdrug.
I've wanted a crochet waist dress forever! I spotted one about a year ago in Topshop for 50 but i just couldn't justify the price so i'm glad i held it off. As soon as i saw this i knew it was coming home with me. 19.99 TK Maxx.

So that was my little Dubai haul, I just hope we get a good summer so i can re-wear these clothes when i get home. Are you off on holiday this year? I can't wait to start wearing summer clothes again!

*All products in this post were purchased by me.

Hello everyone! I picked up a few things this weekend at some really awesome prices so I thought I'd do a haul post. :)

First up: L.A. Colors neons. I adore these!! I stopped in at the local Dollar Store to pick up some rolls for Sunday dinner and couldn't resist taking a browse through the nail polish. I found Mint, Hottie, Pink Bubbles, In A Flash, and Tangerine. I was in a hurry or I would have dug out the neon purple I'm sure I saw at the bottom of the bin too. See Pink Bubbles on my toes in the picture collage below. Having a neon polish on my toes is a must for spring and summer!

Saturday, I picked up these pretties from the Rite Aid sale bin ... well, all but the NYC polish; it, and a few other products, were marked at 75% off!! The sale bin seems to be drying up sadly, but I hold out hope that more polishes will be moved there soon. From left to right: Battery Park Purple, Tahitian Green, Strength of Pink, Figi, and Corduroy.

Also on for 75% off was this gorgeous NYC Lip Plumper in Plum Tart. I got this for $0.99!!! I didn't get it for the plumper ... okay, I didn't get it only for the plumper. The color is just so pretty! It's actually much lighter in person. I think of a nude gloss with a drop of plum color mixed in to give your lips a very natural shimmery flush of color. I didn't notice any real plump to my lips but it did have a slightly minty scent and did cause some tingling to my lips. Almost like getting toothpaste on your lips while brushing your teeth; I found it causes nearly the same amount of tingling for me. I found it almost refreshing to be honest.

Also on Saturday I found some really awesome sale items in Boscov's. This white sweater was an amazing find. It is so very, very comfy and is light enough to last in my wardrobe through Spring. And was a steal at $5.99! I also picked up a lovely gray blazer (no pics yet). I love blazers!! They are an essential part of my wardrobe! To find one for $9.99 was brilliant, but to get up to the checkout and have the sale's women scan it up as $5.99 was stunningly brilliant!

The one thing I didn't get on sale was the shoes. I saw them two weeks ago and fell in love which is odd because I can't stand flats. I've been told many times that I must have been born with my heels because the only time I'm without them is when I'm not wearing any shoes at all. When I saw them this weekend I couldn't let them go again. Especially after trying them on and seeing how comfortable they are. I honestly expected to try them on and have them fit like all the other flats. They would surely feel weird and hurt the backs of my feet, but these lovelies didn't hurt at all and they fit perfectly! They are so me. An oddly fitting combo of nude and neon color with an awesome spiked toe. They were about $17 which is a steal in and of itself for a pair of shoes today!

And my new shoes match my new neon pink nail polish! I hate feet, abhor them really, but I wanted to show off my neon toes too much. I kept the picture small and hope it doesn't make anyone cringe too badly. And yes, that is snow between the gaps of my porch. Yes, yes I did stand outside in my bare feet to get this picture. Dedication to my blog at its best ... or worst?

I was very lucky to visit Rite Aid yesterday as I was told they were switching out their stock, trading old polishes for new ones. The old stock took a huge drop in price and were placed in a clearance bin! I seriously cannot resist a sale, and I grabbed nearly every polish I could get my hands on.

Here is my complete haul. On top of the sale polishes I grabbed four others.

Here are all the clearance polishes.

First up are the polishes I paid full price for. In the center is Sally Hansen Breezy Blue and Pink Blink. On the ends are Revlon Girly and Enchanting.

Girly and Enchanting are new shades from Revlon. I vow to buy more of these new shades because they are so, so pretty. I chose Girly first because I'm a sucker for glitter, especially glitter suspended in a pinky purple-ish base. Being a fairly sheer base though I knew this glitter would need some undies. That's why I picked up Enchanting and Pink Blink. I think Girly will look gorgeous over both!!

Seriously, look at that glitter!! How can you possibly resist??

The first things I found in the clearance bin were $0.74 Color Fever petites in their rounded bottles. I had color fever and picked out all of these! Peach Blush, Periwinkle, Creme Blue, and Vintage Gray.

I also picked out the three square bottles of Color Fever. These ones in Potion, Seashell, and Raspberry Ice. I'm loving Raspberry Ice in the bottle, but am unsure just how great it will look on my nails.

I found two CQ next. I removed the original $3.99 price tags since they covered the front of the bottle. Silver Taupe looks a good deal lighter in person and seems to be an actual shade of taupe when not placed next to such a light color as Pearls.

Last but not least are these three Scherer Chameleon polishes in Tiny Dancer, Fandango, and Mist. They are all so very, very pretty!!

What do you think of my haul? I think I'm going to need a bin for all my untried polishes soon. The list just keeps getting longer.

Saturday, 5 January 2013

(picture heavy)I think this is my first ever haul, i've done a few beauty hauls before which go down well but never a clothes haul. Hope you've grabbed some bargains in the sales this year, i don't think they've been very good this year; this post might give you some shopping inspiration!

chunky knit pink jumper 14.99 Tk maxx
Jumper with dipped back 12.99 Tk maxx
High waisted Jeans 21.00 ASOS
Grey knit snood 12.00 ASOS
River Island denim jacket with leather sleeves 34.00 ASOS

Hearts & Bows bow tie blouse 17.00 ASOS
Leopard print pumps 9.00

This was my first order from ASOS and the delivery was quite quick. I bought a few ASOS own brand items like the snood and the jeans, the prices were reasonable but i found the quality wasn't that great. I'm in love with the denim jacket! I've been after one for ageeesss. TK maxx has to be my favourite highstreet shop. I like that when you buy something from their it's unlikely that your friends will have the same thing too. That's what puts me off shopping in Primark cause everyone ends up wearing the same coat/top/bag...Saying that, my sister and I bought each other the exact same jumper from TK maxx for each other this Christmas!

Have you bought anything good in the sales? Would you like to see more hauls?

p.s sorry about the poor photo quality, my blog-resoultion this year is to take better photographs!

Tuesday, 18 September 2012

Hello nice normal people.
As we've started to say bye to summer (did we ever say hello?!) I've been loving seeing what new products are being launched and what's on trend. Also my favourite thing about September is that most shops do double student discount! I've only bought a few things this month but got some pretty good deals!
I don't normally shop in Dorothy Perkins but they were advertising that they did a 15% student discount so I had a little look inside. I spotted these two beauties and had to buy them. They also do student discount on sale items so I paid 8.50 instead of 10. No bad as they retail for 28!
I had a No7 voucher so decided it would be rude not to use it! I wanted a new lipstick so I went with 'Pink Whisper'. No7 do so many lipsticks it took me ages to decide on one. Also, I asked last night on twitter what nail varnish shades you were loving at the minute and lots of people recommended Essie polishes, and in particular 'Bikini So Teeny' which is a lovely light blue. I spotted a similar shade at the No7 counter called 'Minty Fresh'. I picked up some face wipes for my sister, i much prefer using a moonie!) as I didn't really need any of there skincare products; but buying three items meant me getting the nail varnish for free as all No7 is on 3 for 2 at the minute, happy days!

What have you been buying lately?

Saturday, 16 April 2011

did a little bit of shopping this morn! Nothing extremely exciting, I also wanted to say a BIG hello to all my new followers :) & hello to all my oldies too!

i always feel like wearing brighter nail varnish when the weather get's warmer :)
Popped into boots and saw an offer in the collection 2000 section - free hot looks nail varnish when you spend 4 pounds or more, I brought the lasting perfection concealer in shade 2 which was 4.19 and picked up some nail varnish. I'd heard a lot of good things about this concealer, I can do a review on this if anyone would like!

I'm thinking of dedicating a day of the week to write a post with a beauty tip on it, so different tip every week - what do you think?

some exciting things coming up on my blog soon! x
