Oh you know how much I love a good dupe. I'm all about neutral eyes and I reach for my MUA Undressed Me Too palette on an almost daily basis but this new beauty from COLLECTION has taken it's place. The latest Little Mix + COLLECTION collaboration comes in the form of an eyeshadow palette consisting of six neutral shades. When I first laid eyes on it I instantly thought it looked like a drugstore dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette. This is a more shimmery but less wallet-weeping version with incredible pigmentation.

All of the shades have some subtle shimmer and has a buttery soft texture. There isn't a bad shade in the bunch and each one glides on smoothly with just one swipe. The eyeshadow swatches below were all with one single swipe - very impressive for a highstreet palette!

My love for COLLECTION continues. The Little Mix 'All About The Eyes' Palette* will be available in Superdrug from the 30th of July. RRP 3.19

So pretty. Look at all those colours. Time to hide your Naked palettes because the new Urban Decay Electric Palette is here! I've never tried anything from the brand before so was super excited to test this out. Read on for a full-on, photo heavy UD Electric palette review with swatches.

The packaging of this palette is so pretty. The cover features a multi-coloured smoke-screen print on a black background. The packaging feels really sturdy and it has a large mirror inside. I don't normally use the brushes that come free with palettes but this double ended brush is excellent quality.

These eye shadows are pressed pigments so the colour pay-off is extreme. I've never tried an eye shadow as intense as the 12 featured in the Electric palette. I'm so impressed with how much colour comes off with just one swipe. The formula is really long lasting too. The shades allow for 12 hour wear without creasing or fading - and that is without using a primer. The colours are a mixture of mattes and shimmer. Each one has a velvety- smooth texture which makes them easy to blend. The shades are -
Revolt - bright metallic silver with shimmer
Gonzo - bright turquoise matte with floating tonal pearl
Slowburn - bright red-orange matte with floating pearl
Savage - bright hot pink matte
Fringe - bright metallic teal
Chaos - bright blue matte with floating tonal pearl
Jilted - bright metallic purple with blue shift
Urban - bright metallic purple
Freak - bright green with gold shift
Thrash - bright lime green matte

My favourite shades are Revolt, Slowburn and Fringe. I'm really impressed with the quality and pigmentation of the Electric palette. It's not cheap but it's definitely worth the price tag. I recommend you check this out in store, my photo's don't do the hypnotic colours justice. Just don't blame me if you spend 50 minutes in Debenhams staring at the colours followed by getting dragged away by security guards.

The Urban Decay Electric Palette* (38) is now availalbe to buy from Debenhams, Feel Unique, House of Fraser and Beauty Bay

I'm a sucker for a highstreet dupe. After hearing Lily and Anna rave on about the ByTerry Ombre Blackstar I immediately added it to my mental wishlist. Then after heading onto the SpaceNK website to find out they are priced at 28 a pop my love for them lessened.

Not one to give up I marched to Boots in search for a Ombre Blackstar highstreet dupe. I was meet with the Max Factor Flipsticks which are a double ended eyeshadow stick. I wasn't too impressed with the pigmentation of these but the Revlon ColourStay Shadow Sticks were better versions with more colour pay-off but still quite different from what I was looking for. The new Seventeen EyeEye crayons look like a good budget buy. They are waterproof shadow sticks which are smooth to apply and come in 4 shades. The winner for me though were the No7 Stay Perfect Shade and Define Liners. These creamy sticks are really easy to use and come in 8 wearable shades. The two I have are Black Shimmer and Gunmetal Grey. You can use these all over the lid or the tip point makes it a great eyeliner. The more natural shades in the range would be good for highlighting and using in the corners of the eyes. The formula for these are impressively long-lasting and smudge-proof.

No7 Stay Perfect Shade and Define 8.00 available from Boots.

I've got my eye on a few other shades from the range, are you a fan of these stick style eyeshadows?

Mum: "Kia, you don't need another eyeshadow palette! " Me: "It's not for me, it's for my readers..."
Mums reaction when she caught me swatching the new Posh palette from Beautyuk. Fellow beauty bloggers will understand.

Now you may think this looks quite similar to the MUA Undressed palette and Undress Me too (both of which i own #sorrynotsorry) and you'd be right. If your a fan of neutral, dusky, sultry colours you'll love 'Eden'.

The palette consists of ten mainly shimmery shades with a couple of mattes for shading. I like the simple white packaging and the mirror on the inside of the lid. The eyeshadow quality overall is good. As you can see from the photos above, some are more pigmented than others. The second shade in particular doesn't have very good colour pay-off. However, the colours are buildable and work best with a wet eyeshadow brush. I can see this becoming an everyday essential for me!

Beautyuk Posh Palettes come in three different designs and retail for 5.99 from Superdrug or online here.

This was a highly requested blog post after featuring it in my May Favourites. I love pastel colours, but on my eyes...i wasn't too sure. But i've had a few months to play with this palette & i absolutely love it!
The top and bottom three colours are my favourites. I haven't ventured out to using the purple or green shades yet but i will do. The yellow is a really nice natural all over colour and i like to use the brown or pink eyeshadow in my crease. The lighter shades are ideal for highlighting. The pigmentation is good, not brilliant but for 4 you can't really go wrong. Each shadow has a shimmery finish which is really wearable. I find it doesn't crease and the colours apply best with my fingers. It does come with a double-ended eyeshadow brush but i don't tend to use it. I've included some swatches below!
The Pretty Pastels Palette is 4 for 12 shades and available to buy from Superdrug or the MUA online shop. What do you think of this? The colours are really nice and more importantly it's affordable! I'm tempted to get their new 'Undressed' Palette! If you like MUA i think you'll like this.
Also let me know your MUA lipstick recommendations as i want to try some! x

*let me know if you have any questions!

Illustration using mascara and yellow ink
You may already know this, but Diana Vickers is the new face of make up brand Collection 2000. I am a big fan of their products and I think Diana suits them well. I was kindly sent some products that Diana had recommend. Here's how I got on!

Lasting Colour Lipstick in Mango Tango 3.49
This lipstick taught me a lesson. NEVER think you can't 'do' a lipstick. On first impressions I excepted the lipstick was too bright and wouldn't suit me. However, once I tried it on I instantly feel in love with it. I wore it everyday in Tenerife & I'm wearing it as I write this! Because I'm quite new to lipsticks I dab it onto my lips to create a subtle tint. I also like wearing it on my cheeks. Would I buy this? Yes, but I would like to try out some other shades.

Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Eyeliners in 2.99
I've never come across a product like this before, pleasantly surprised at the effect it gives! This is a glittery gel eyeliner that would be perfect for any christmas parties. Would I buy this? It's just not something I would normally go for, so not for me!
Hot looks Nail Polish in Lemon Soda 1.79
I really like Collection 2000's nail varnishes, such a bargain & come in a great range of colours. This yellow one does not disappoint. Would I buy this? Yes, but I would recommend checking the brushes before you buy as some aren't very good.

Colour Match foundation in fair 5.99
This is a light to medium coverage foundation with a natural matte finish and SPF 20. It is formulated to adapt to your skin tone. I really like the packaging, it comes in a glass bottle with pink font on & is dispensed from a pump. Would I but this? I would consider buying this in the summer.

Smokey eye Palette 4.19
This palette comes with 8 different shades- matte, glittery & cream.Instructions are on the back to achieve the perfect smokey eye. Pigmentation is good, my favourite one is the cream highlighter. If you are an eyeshadow newbie this would be good for you! Would I buy? Yes I would.

Simmer Shades in Blushalicious 3.99
This blusher has four different coloured contour cubesYou can merge the colours together to create a customized shade to suit your skin tone. Really like all four shades and good pigmentation. Would I buy this? Yes, I've brought the bronzing one!
Pump Up the Volume Mascara 4.99
(as illustrated at top of post) This claims to give up to 12x more volume, I'm not sure about that. How could you tell anyway if it did! This definitely if the biggest mascara brush I have come across. So if your a bit messy when applying mascara I probably wouldn't recommend this. It took a while to get use it's size, but once I did I really like the length it adds. It also helped to lift lashes too but didn't do anything for thickness so I layered another mascara on top. Using the tip of the wand on bottom lashes gave a really nice effect. Would I buy this? Yes

Yay, you made it to the end of my babbling! Hope you found these reviews helpful. I will hopefully be posting some pictures soon of me wearing the products! Anything catch your eye? Browse Collection 2000's product here & watch behind the scene footage of Diana's shoot here! x

I am the kind of daughter that hangs around the cosmetic isle's whilst her mum does the food shopping. So I was delighted to hear a new make up brand was going to launch at Tesco. VIVO has a whole range of products too tickle your fancy. Affordable and on-trend; this brand is definitely worth checking out on your next weekly shop. I was kindly sent some products to review, however my opinions are my own and as always, honest.
Trio Eye shadow Palette 2.50
The pigmentation is quite good for it's price. They have a lovely range of colours & this neutral palette is my favourite. The double ended brush makes application easy. I used this to create a brown smoky eye & was happy with the end result! Will blog a picture soon ;)
Ultimate Base Concealer Kit 5
I love the highlighter that comes with this, will be using daily! For a review on this with some before and after pictures check out my previous post here. For a budget concealer this was okay, but I think I prefer the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection one. The highlighter is the highlight of this kit.
Diamond Sparkle Lip Gloss 1.50
This come is a tube that you have to squeeze to get out product. It can get a little messy as you can see in the photograph! If you like lip glosses you will like this, the coverage is build-able and it leaves a nice sparkly sheen.

Overall, I like the wide range of products VIVO have. Although I haven't tried them I like the look of their baked eye shadows & blushers. They also do lipsticks for just 1.99! I'm always a bit vary of budget foundations, so I'm not sure if that would be a hit. But I am tempted to pop to Tesco to check out what other things they have to offer! What do you think of VIVO? x

I always get the same problem whenever I buy an eyeshadow palette, there is at least one colour that I know I'll never use! So I was delighted when I heard Frontcover were bringing out a 'To Go Collection'. You  get to choose exactly what colours you want in your eyeshadow palette. I'll show you how it works :)

firstly, you will have an empty palette which includes a double ended brush and mirror.

you pick the colour you want to use.

they pop in easily

ta-daa! Your palette is created and customised just for you.

I really love the idea of this, the eyeshadows are very pigmented and there are lots of colours to choose from!
In the photograph (left) I am wearing

  1. Powder Puff all over the eye.
  2. Twinkling Grape in the outer corner.
  3. Baked Bronze in the crease.
  4. Also Twinkling Gold on the lower lash line.
I can't wait to try out different combinations & might have to try out some other shades! Each shade is 4.00 and in total the whole palette was 15.00.
More details on the Frontcover website here
Or you can stalk & ask Frontcover questions on their Facebook or Twitter :)

Hope you enjoyed my review! What do you think of this idea? x
