Stuck for where to store your nail polish? So was I. Make up/nail varnish/beauty product storage is my little obsession. I love browsing through Pinterest at how others store their cosmetics & also homeware posts are my favourite to read at the minute. I've been a bit carried away with buying nail polish lately, someone stop me! I needed a new place to store my nail polishes neatly and I found this old cabinet in our house. I knew this would make a perfect nail polish wardrobe but it didn't look very pretty so i had a search through the garden shed for some bits. Here's a tutorial on how to create your own nail polish display!
1. Find yourself an old cabinet, you can pick one up from a charity shop, car boot or maybe you have an old one at home.
2. You will need; Gloss paint. Go for gloss finish over matte as this wont flake off, i went for white but you can choose any colour you fancy. White spirit to clean your brush with. Lastly an old rag to dust the cabinet with.
3. If you can separete the cabinet peices, this will make it easier to paint. Lay it on some newspaper before painting.
4. Use a smaller brush when painting near glass to make it easier. Gloss take a few hours to dry so put the kettle on and catch up with your favourite blogs!
5. To decorate the background i ripped up a Cath Kidson catalogue and glued it to create a patterned college.
Ta-da! This would look really nice with lipsticks in too. Let me know if you decide to give it a go, would love to know how you store your beauty bits!

I love seeing how other beauty bloggers store their beauty products. I  pop all my nail varnishes in a glass kilner jar and store most of my make up in little beauty bags. Recently, I was sent this lovely box from beauty-boxes.com. They sell a wide range of beauty boxes to keep your make up organised. I fell in love with this cath kidson-esque floral print instantly, look how pretty it is!

The inside is really spacious and has a little mirror on the top and also a pouch for holding things such a make up brushes. The quality of the box is very good, beauty-boxes.com actually offer a years warranty on any defective materials which is reassuring! The box is sturdy so i'll be using it when i take my make up travelling with me. It also comes with a lock to keep your contents safe.

I thought, as it is nearly Christmas (13 days people!) this would make such a cute gift idea. If you filled it with beauty products, below, you could make a DIY hamper & whoever you give it to can re-use the box!

What do you think of this beauty box? I like it a lot.

Hello, hope you're all okay!
I'm not the tidiest person but i do like pretty storage, especially when it comes to beauty products. For my GSCE final project in D.T i made a tall pink bookcase to neatly store my ever growing collection of cosmetics, nearly 3 years on & i still use it! Today I am going to show you 3 different ways to store your nail polish. I love seeing how other people store things so i hope you find this helpful!
This is a Roo nail polish roll. It's a really practical way to store my nail polish. It can store up to 14 polishes and come in 9 different colours. This is ideal for anyone wanting to keep their polishes in a safe and secure place. Next time I am travelling anywhere & want to take some nail polish, i'll be using this!
Boxes and baskets are a good way of storing nail polish neatly. I've just ordered these ones from Argos for my toiletries! The only dilemma with this idea is that it's hard to see what colour the nail polish is without picking it up. I've tried to solve this by painting the nail polish onto some sellotape, then sticking it to the lid. This technique does work and i find it really helpful.
Lastly, I keep some nail polishes in this glass jar, it looks pretty on my dressing table and you can see all the polishes stored in it clearly. It reminds me of a jar of sweets! You can pick one of these up in the kitchen section of most supermarkets & they are around 5.

That's all the ways I store my nail polish, you could also vamp up a spice rack & display your polishes on that! There are so many ways, have fun with it! If your in the UK i hope you're having a good bank holiday and let me know your thoughts on these storage ideas :) x

It's never normally this tidy, there's usually toothpaste splatters and fake tan stains. But i was cleaning it out today & thought it would be a good opportunity to blog about it (always thinking ahead!) I'm always changing what products i keep in the cupboards because i sometimes go off products or get new ones or just run out.

Some of my bathroom essentials include Vaseline, Sudocreme, Acetone and a flannel - I cannot function without these things in my life.

As you can see from the top picture there are two cupboards. One is filled with fake tan & the other is skincare. I don't use a lot of fake tan but if i'm looking a bit pasty I like to use it on my face. The tanning mitt was from the 99p shop and works wonders!

Skincare is important to me. I think before you go splurging on make up you need to invest in a skincare routine that works well for you. Because i try out a lot of different products my skin can sometimes get quite irritated -  Avne products are great for sensitive skin, I use something from Avne at least once a week. At the minute i'm trying out the range from Proactiv (skincare brand with Katy Perry in the adverts) I'll be sure to let you guys know how i get on. If i want a quick fix i'll use the Superdrug Essential Cleanser to remove make up - only costs 99p and does the job nicely!

I try to use a face mask once a week. The Dr. Organic olive oil one from Holland and Barrett pictured above is my fav.

I'm really into perfume. I like to have a different scent for different stages in my life. Moschino Funny was a present from my Dad & reminds me of school, Versace Red Jeans reminds me of my mum & Emporio Armarni Diamonds reminds me of my current job. And who doesn't want to smell nice?

So, that was a little sneak peak into my bathroom cupboard. I'm so nosey so i tag you all to do this post! Please do let me know if you wanted to know my thoughts on a specific product.

Pssst Hello new (& old!) readers, please leave a comment below so i can check out your blog too! Enjoying the easter holidays so far?

After speaking to a few beauty bloggers on twitter I realised how much we all love a beauty bargain. I like to shop around for the cheapest item & read reviews before spending any dosh.
Cotton buds are great for applying/removing make up. This is the 3rd time I've repurchased these. Only 35p for 300 from the baby section in Wilkinsons! Not bad at all, Wilkinson's do some great beauty deals. You could stored them in a nice glass jar or in a fabric bag. I have some other beauty bargains so will be updating them will you soon!

Are you a bargain hunter?

Hello :) hope you are all having a lovely weekend. It is surprisingly sunny where I live today so I have been catching up on the vitamin D. Tonight I will be getting cosy in front of the T.V and watching Doctor who - love it! Next week I am attending my first ever blogger event, aahhh! Will blog about that :) Anyway I'll stop rambling now...

This is my make up collection; not all of it mind. Some of it is in my bedroom/bathroom/handbag/car/bit of everywhere really. But this is where I go to do my make up, it's right next to a window because I think it's important to do make up in natural light. The desk was an old computer desk & I'm thinking of upgrading it to a proper dressing table.

Most of the products seem to be foundations, it's my mission in life to find the ultimate one! I love applying foundation as it completely changes your face. I also like mascara's too. I don't have one trusty mascara i'll always turn too - I normally use a couple together. The three sided mirror is great & helps avoid any make up mishaps you might miss.

I love having a nosey at other peoples storage/make up collections so let me know if you have done a post like this! If you would like my thought's on any of the products you see, just let me know :) Enjoy the rest of your weekend x
