As you may already know i'm a big fan of MUA. I couldn't live without my Undress Me Too palette. Lash Boom (which follows last year's Lip Boom) is their newest mascara launch costing just 3.00. As you can see from the photo above it features a rather odd wand. Read on to find out how i got on..

Here's what MUA have to say about Lash Boom. Magnify your lashes for a spectacular false lash effect with the brand new MUA lash boom mascara. Encased in a gorgeous purple tube, this volumising mascara has a long wand which creates length with added drama.

Coat your lashes from root to tip for longer fuller lashes in a flash, minus the irritating clumping. The multi comb, silicone wand will catch each individual eyelash whilst defining and separating to create a flirty fanned out look.

The Results
The brush has plastic bristles and the bulge on the end made it difficult to use to start with. Once i'd mastered the technique the wand catches the tiniest lashes on the outer corner to create a fanned out effect.  The smooth formula coats lashes evenly and leaves eyelashes clump-free.  I would agree with MUA's claim of being a volumising mascara and it helped to lengthen each lash. The only negative would be that the end of the wand can have too much product on so you have to swipe it before using to remove excess. This is a good mascara is you're on a budget but still want fluttery eyelashes!

All in all this is a great budget mascara and actually does what it claims to. I found it works just as well as mascara's costing twice as much. Well done MUA! You can get this from Superdrug or online from the MUA shop. Lash Boom retails for 3.00 for 7ml.

This was a highly requested blog post after featuring it in my May Favourites. I love pastel colours, but on my eyes...i wasn't too sure. But i've had a few months to play with this palette & i absolutely love it!
The top and bottom three colours are my favourites. I haven't ventured out to using the purple or green shades yet but i will do. The yellow is a really nice natural all over colour and i like to use the brown or pink eyeshadow in my crease. The lighter shades are ideal for highlighting. The pigmentation is good, not brilliant but for 4 you can't really go wrong. Each shadow has a shimmery finish which is really wearable. I find it doesn't crease and the colours apply best with my fingers. It does come with a double-ended eyeshadow brush but i don't tend to use it. I've included some swatches below!
The Pretty Pastels Palette is 4 for 12 shades and available to buy from Superdrug or the MUA online shop. What do you think of this? The colours are really nice and more importantly it's affordable! I'm tempted to get their new 'Undressed' Palette! If you like MUA i think you'll like this.
Also let me know your MUA lipstick recommendations as i want to try some! x

I don't normally brave the no foundation look, but I have been testing out some lovely skincare products lately (blog post coming up soon) and my skin is looking ok! Here is what I am wearing on my face and nails today.

Mavala Matt Top Coat 10.25
Now this is something to rave about, you apply it on top of your nail varnish and it give them a matte look! Nice change from the norm glossy finish.

MUA Face Powder in shade 1 1.00
Make up for a 1? Yes please! I have tried a few things from this brand an have been really impressed by everything. I used a bit of this on my T zone to stop any oiliness.

Mavala Nail Varnish in French Cancan 2.99
This colour looks great on all skin tones, good quality and price!

MakeBelieve Illuminating Concealer 15.00
Popped some of this on my dark circles, around my nose and other blemishes. It has a pink undertone so it is ideal for covering blue dark circles.

MakeBelieve Bronzer 15.00
Another makebelieve product! The range is designed to enhance fake tan. I love this bronzer because it come in a sturdy compact, which includes a mirror and also the softest brush in THE world to help apply the product.

Collection 2000 Cream Puff in Fairy Cake 2.99
I have so much love for these. I wrote a post on them a while back, you can read it here.

Shu Uemura Ultimate Expression Mascara 20.00
This mascara wand has a mixture of soft and hard bristles. It is set a 8 degrees to really hug every lash. It's smudge-proof, clump-proof and leaves my lashes looking longer!

Tried any of these products? x
