I'm not really one for Valentine's day but I was walking through Tesco today and noticed all their amazing goodies they had brought out for loved up couples this year (giant cupcake or pink macaroons anyone?) It got me in the mood for baking which never happens because i'm not very good at it! This recipe is really easy to follow and you don't need to be loved up to enjoy these treats.

What you will need;
120g plain white flour, 50g caster sugar, 90g unsalted butter, pink chocolate drops, 50g frozen raspberries.
 Sieve the flour in your mixing box then add the sugar and cut up the butter. I found it helps if the butter is at room temperature before adding to the mixture.
 Now rub the butter into the mixture with your finger tips. If you wanted to, you could use a blender for this bit. It should something like the photo below.
 Add a handful of pink chocolate drops and the raspberries. I placed the frozen raspberries in a bag and crushed them with a rolling pin before adding them to the mixture.
 Using your hands, squeeze the ingredients together until you form a dough ball. Lightly grease a baking tray and scoop the mixture into heart shaped cutters. Place in a oven at 160 degrees. Leave for 20 minutes or until the edges start to turn golden.
Remove from the oven and place on a cooling rack. Once cooled I drizzeled some icing sugar over the hearts, you could use white chocolate or add some other decorations!
 Eating these as we speak, they're so moreish! They would make a perfect Valentines day treat for a loved one or for yourself to indulge in, you deserve it! What do you think?
